Like being transformed back February 3rd, 1959, John Mueller's Winter Dance Party brought the sight and sounds of the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly to the Mississippi Moon Bar stage on Friday. The actual son of the Bopper himself paid homage to his dad while two simply spot on performances in tribute to Ritchie "La Bamba" Valens and Buddy Holly filled out a rockin' show. Not only did these guys look just like the real thing, their performances were simply perfect. And the back-up band was outta sight. If they ever make it back this way, don't miss this show no matter your age. Compared to the teenages of the 50's who relived their youth in this evening, we were a bunch of toddlers.
