We had a great time participating in and sponsoring the First Annual Throwdown on the River BBQ competition sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society and hosted by the Grand Harbor Resort. Two big days of smoked meat and live music. Team 365 was certainly the novice crew of the competition, but we didn'[t finish at the bottom! In fact, we had a couple meats in the top half of the entries. Woo Hoo! The event was a big hit. The must have been a couple thousand people lined up to taste the People's Choice meat. We also, like other cooks, gave away the remainder of our competition meats. People really seemed to love it. Thanks to Steve, Craig and the Grand Harbor Resort for all their hard work! We're ready to do it all again next year! |
