Puttzin Around Downtown 2007
Another year, another heated battle to see who is the best mini-golfer in Dubuque.
OF course, "best" may be skewed by who has the most spare cash in their pocket to buy holes in
ones, remove strokes and take mulligans. But who cares. It's all a
good reason to have fun with friends, support downtown businesses (and
event host Dubuque main Street) and carry a putter into a bank while
dressed in fatigues and not draw a funny look, let alone get yourself
arrested. It was the 2007 Puttzin' Around Downtown mini-golf best shot
and, of course, we took pictures. This way we can call it "working". Team 365 consisted of Publisher Bryce Parks, Editor Tim Brechlin, Columnist
Chris Wand, writer stand-in (Mike Ironside had a gig with ochOsol so
his lovely wife Julie Steffen play for him... and much better I might
say) and last but certainly not least, 365 writer and Dubuque Mayor,
Roy Buol. We made out way through 18 challenging holes in 18 great
location across about 13 blocks of downtown Dubuque. I'm not sure how
we did, as we had to leave before the prizes were handed out, but I'm
pretty sure we all felt like we won on this Friday afternoon. Relive
the fun with us in this 365 Image Vault gallery.
Addendum... we received a slew of great pictures from Doug McCallum, so we updated
these galleries and now there are even more lovely photos to fill
your day. Thank Doug! Happy surfing! |
