The Dubuque Jaycees are Cookin' Something Up
The Dubuque Jaycees enjoyed a visit to the wonderful new Cookin' Something Up
kitchen store and cooking school located on J.F.K. on
Dubuque's West End. The night's activities included lesson on
cooking
ravioli
and béchamel sauce from scratch followed by a tempting
chocolate mousse. A very interactive lesson led by chef
Beth McIntee
(she's from Canada but we liked her anyway) and the
owner of Cookin'
Something Up, Doris Gorius invited many of the nearly
30 people taking part in the event to prepare the food
themselves.
At the end of the fun and informative evening, we all
got to EAT IT!
The Jaycees regularly host such educational and entertaining events for it's
members. Likewise, Cookin' Something Up features a full
calendar of popular cooking classes featuring themed sessions
such as Tapas, A Taste of India, Seafood Spectacular and
a Kid's Baking Bonanza. Visit the web links below to learn
more about both the Jaycees and Cookin' Something Up. And
enjoy
all the photos we took at last night's event.
