5th Annual Championship Bull Riding at Five Flags The 5th Annual Championship Bull Riding show stampeded into the Five Flags Arena with guns ablazin’ and the wagons loaded! More than 30 bull riders were in town January 12 and 13, 2007, to pit their skills against the rankest, meanest bulls in the business. Fans were be treated to the most unpredictable sport on dirt. “Any time you match up a cowboy with a large farm animal, who is 10 times their size, anything can happen,” said producer Rory Meeks. The sport’s unpredictability, along with the power of the bulls, makes it a natural attraction for spectators. Fans saw the best bull riders ride twice each night. After the first round of bull riding, the six highest scored bull riders came back to ride in the championship round for an additional $1,000 prize. Also part of the show was trick roper Jack Fulbright. “Texas Jack”, as he is known, has amazed crowds nationwide with his trick roping skills. Photographer Buck Nelson went the the big show on behalf of 365 and brought back some great behind the scenes images and some artistic shots of the big bulls in action. Thanks to Buck for all the great images you see below. Enjoy.... Photos by Buck Nelson |
