Riverwalk /Amphitheater Construction Images
Gallery 1

Construction is underway on the scenic riverwalk that will serve as a wonderful highlight to the America's River Project. The walkway connects the many attractions along Dubuque's riverfront. In the image gallery below you can see the great progress already made on the wall. Much of the wall in the area of the Port of Dubuque is already buried. For the most part, it will be a tedious cycle of hauling in hundreds of thousands of tons of dirt, sand and rip rap. This will eventually be capped with a paved surface and decorated with lighting, benches and other amenities similar to theose that now adorn the renovated portions of downtown Dubuque streets.

Also included here are images of the Alliant Amphitheater being constructed in front of the Old Star Brewery. They have the front row of the curved seating area already poured. Heavy rain is making for muddy work but landscaping progresses well and the site is rally taking shape.
