Welcome to the Grand River Center - October 25th, 2003 With as many as two thousand in attendance, the City of Dubuque, Platinum Development and a host of dignitaries officially cut the ribbon on the majestic new conference facility. The magnificent River Room made for a gorgeous backdrop (although a bit of a challenge on a camera iris) for speakers to honor and celebrate the completion of this project. Serving not only as one of the anchor amenities of the America's River Project, it also serves as a reminder of what is possible when everyone works together for the betterment of a community. Dubuque is leading the way into the 21st century in Iowa and the Grand River Center is the lighting the way, especially at night as you cross the bridge from Illinois.
